CHAMPS! Volleyball Wins First-Ever Conference Title
Frederick, Md.- With a 3-1 victory on Thursday night over Allegany College of Maryland, No. 18 NJCAA DII nationally-ranked Frederick Community College volleyball team captured the school's first-ever conference title. With the victory, the Cougars improve to 20-2 on the season including a perfect 11-0 in conference play. The Trojans drop to 13-6 on the year including 8-3 in conference play.
A total team effort on a historical night for FCC volleyball. Emily Rabat and Amy Gust stepped up and recorded 15 and 9 kills in the victory. Freshman setter Victoria Bryant had a night to remember registering 44 assists while teammate Victoria Ketner tallied 15 digs.
FCC fourth year Head Coach Ashley Rippeon was elated with the effort her team put forth in the victory. "It is a tremendous honor to lead this team and the coaching staff is extremely proud of this team as they have earned every bit of the success they have achieved this year due to the hard work they put forth," said Rippeon. "This is a very special group of young ladies that I am extremely fortunate to coach."

FCC will travel to Potomac State College of WVU on Tuesday, October 20th to take on the Catamounts. First serve is set for 7:00 PM.
