Sweet 16! Cougars Cruise Past Nighthawks To Extend Winning Streak!

Springfield, Va.- The FCC volleyball team is on quite a roll.  The Cougars hit the road on Thursday night in a key Region 20 match-up against NOVA Nighthawks.  FCC swept the Nighthawks 3-0 for their 16th consecutive victory.  The Cougars only loss on the season was the season opener on September 3rd.  FCC sports an overall record of 16-1 including 7-0 in the conference.

The Cougars are getting a total team effort and are clicking on all cylinders.  Freshman Amy Gust continues to produce as she recorded seven kills while teammate Emily Rabat chipped in with eight digs, six kills and five aces.  Freshman setter Victoria Bryant has been delivering big time when her number is called.  Bryant registered 23 assists in the victory.  Erica Buls turned in a solid performance with four kills while teammate Haley Gieck had eight digs.

UP NEXT: The Cougars earn a well-deserved break and will return to the court on October 6th.  FCC will hit the road to take on the Skipjacks from Chesapeake College.  First serve is set for 7:00 PM.
