Frederick, Md- The Frederick Community College volleyball team hosted Anne Arundel Community College on Tuesday night in MD JUCO action. The Cougars defeated the Riverhawks by the score of 3-0 (25-7, 25-12, 25-22). With the victory, the Cougars extend their winning streak to six. Overall FCC sits at 6-1 and is perfect in conference play at 2-0. AACC drops to 2-5 and 1-3 in the conference.
Amy Gust led the offense tallying six kills for the Cougars while teammate Emily Rabat ran the scoreboard from the end line with 10 service aces in games one and two. Colleen Weant had another error free attacking game with four kills. Weant also added two solo blocks. Erica Buls and Jackie Burns put up a wall for the Riverhawks' outside hitters with three blocking assists a piece. Haley Gieck contributed a team high of nine digs.
