Baltimore, Md- The FCC volleyball team turned in quite a performance on Saturday at the Charm City Volleyball Tournament hosted by Baltimore City Community College. FCC went 4-0 on the day and defeated Howard Community College in the Finals by the score of 2-0. This makes it two years in a row for the Cougars as they bring the hardware back to FCC.
FCC sophomore sensation Emily Rabat recorded 36 kills on the day while teammates Victoria Bryant, Victoria Ketner, and Colleen Weant turned in stellar performances. Bryant dished out 66 assists, while Ketner registered 27 digs. Colleen Weant was "locked-in" as she tallied 16 aces. Rabat was named Tournament Most Valuable Player.
As a team, the Cougars registered 94 kills along with an impressive 35 aces on the day.
The Cougars are now winners of five straight and sit with an overall record of 5-1 including 1-0 in conference play.
Up Next: FCC will return to MD JUCO action as they host Anne Arundel Community College on Tuesday, September 15th. First serve is set for 7:00 PM
