Frederick Falls to Hagerstown in Home Matchup
Frederick Community College Cougars women's basketball dropped to 1-2 on the season after a 51-39 loss to Hagerstown Community College on November 12 in Frederick. The Cougars struggled offensively, shooting just 21.4% from the field and 18.2% from three-point range. After falling behind 15-3 in the first quarter, Frederick responded with a strong second period, outscoring Hagerstown 21-9 to take a narrow halftime lead. However, the momentum shifted in the second half as Frederick managed only 15 points combined in the third and fourth quarters.
Trinity Lindblade led Frederick with 12 points, while Heaven Murray added 10 points and six rebounds. Taliyah Alexander contributed seven points and five boards, and Chebet Nganga anchored the paint with nine rebounds. Despite their efforts, Frederick was unable to overcome Hagerstown's balanced attack.
Frederick now looks ahead to its next challenge on the road against Mercer County Community College on November 15 at 12 PM.
