Women's Basketball Falls in Home Opener to Catamounts 

FREDERICK, Md. -- The Frederick Community College women's basketball team squared off against WVU Potomac State College on Thursday night in the team's home opener, falling to the Catamounts 73-64. 

Four players registered double figures in the loss for FCC. AnayaInes Badmus had a solid night from the floor as she tallied 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field. Teammate Tiana Jackson registered a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Jessica Jensen tallied 30 minutes off the bench to net 13 points on 6-of-14 from the field. Aubrey Austin would round out the scoring for the Cougars with 10 points and six boards. Jalynn Montgomery cleaned up on the glass for FCC as she pulled down a team-high 13 rebounds. 

The Cougars trailed by double digits throughout the game but cut the lead to 56-54 with just five minutes to go in the contest. Down the stretch, the Catamounts pulled away for the nine point victory. 

FCC will return to the hardwood on December 8th when they travel to Hagerstown CC to battle the Hawks. The tip is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
