Wye Mills, Maryland - The Frederick Community College women's basketball team tipped off their first game of the season on Tuesday night on the road at Chesapeake College. The Cougars got off to a slow start and trailed the Skipjacks by five points at the half.
A solid second half effort pushed the Cougars to take the lead in the 4th quarter, but the Skipjacks pulled out the late 4th quarter win, 65-61. FCC had three players register a double-double - Jalynn Montgomery (20 points, 12 rebounds), Tiana Jackson (16 points, 12 rebounds), and Aubrey Austin (13 points, 10 rebounds).
