Men's Soccer Erupts For Eight Goals In Victory Over Seahawks

FREDERICK, Md.- After suffering a heartbreaking conference loss (2-1) to CCBC Essex on Tuesday, the FCC men's soccer team returned to the field to take on the Seahawks from Cecil College. With the victory on Friday, FCC improves to 5-3 overall including 3-2 in conference play. The Seahawks fall to 1-8 on the year and 1-5 in conference play.

FCC freshman standout Elmer Ochoa had himself quite a day. Ochoa scored three goals in the victory while teammate Kenneth Simms chipped in with two goals of his own. Kareem Salmon was in a giving mood in the victory as he was credited with two assists.  Salmon also scored a goal along with teammates Micael Bolou and Aron Vidaurre. FCC starting goalie Shawn Thomas was solid in the net as he recorded a shutout for the Cougars.

The Cougars will return to the pitch on Tuesday (9/26) afternoon as they host Howard Community College. The ball will drop at 4:00 P.M.
