Frederick Rallies Late to Edge Allegheny County, 74–71
Frederick Community College Cougars men's basketball team battled from behind on the road Monday night, grinding out a hard-fought 74–71 victory over CC of Allegheny County to move to 11–10 on the season. After trailing 38–33 at halftime, the Cougars responded with poise and efficiency, outscoring the hosts 41–33 in the second half to secure the win.
Gabriel Jones powered Frederick with a standout performance, dropping 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting while adding 10 rebounds for a strong double-double. His shot-making kept Frederick within striking distance early and helped tilt the momentum in the second half. Thierry Patchou made a major impact inside, scoring 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds while going a perfect 5-for-5 at the free throw line. Kylan Johnson provided 14 points and a team-high seven assists, controlling the tempo and creating opportunities during key stretches.
The Cougars dominated the boards led by Jones and Cameron Canty, who also posted a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds. Frederick shot an efficient 57% from the field and maintained composure despite CCAC's early push and a tight final minute.
