FCC Baseball Ready For Postseason Play
FREDERICK, MD. – After recording one of the best regular-season records in school history, the No. 2 FCC baseball team is primed and ready for postseason action. The Cougars will take on the Skipjacks from Chesapeake College on Friday (5/13) afternoon at 3 PM. The Region 20 D2 Final Four Tourney will take place at CCBC Catonsville.
During regular season play, the Cougars and Chesapeake College split in a doubleheader on April 3rd. FCC took game one by the score of 4-0, and the Skipjacks took the nightcap contest in 8-innings by the count of 8-7.
FCC has been squaring up the baseball all season long! They crushed the team record for home runs, and currently have 48 on the year. Up and down the lineup, the FCC offense has been clicking on all cylinders. As a team, the Cougars are hitting .342, and the pitching staff boasts an ERA of just 3.54.
