Cougars Take Two at Anne Arundel Tri-Match

The Frederick Community College women's volleyball team came away with a perfect day at the Anne Arundel Community College Tri-Match, earning back-to-back 3–1 victories to move to 6-6 overall and 4-5 in Region 20 play.

In the opening match against the Community College of Beaver County Titans, the Cougars dropped the first set but quickly regrouped to win three straight sets, 25-19, 25-23, and 25-21. Brynn Cochran powered the offense with 19 kills and three aces, while Arianna Calhoun distributed 32 assists and added nine digs. Eva Turner chipped in 12 kills and 19 digs as Frederick controlled the final three sets.

The Cougars carried that momentum into the second match, toppling host Anne Arundel Community College 3–1 by scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-13 and 25-19. Cochran exploded for 28 kills and three aces, Calhoun tallied 39 assists and 10 digs, and Turner again reached double figures in kills and digs with 13 apiece.

Frederick now heads to Howard Community College to face the Dragons on October 1 at 7:00 PM.
