Lindblade’s Long-Range Shooting Powers Frederick Past Anne Arundel
Frederick Community College women's basketball delivered a dominant performance on the road Wednesday night, defeating Anne Arundel Community College 81-54 in Jenkins Gym. The Cougars improved to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in Region 20 Division II play with the win. FCC set the tone early, scoring 27 points in the first quarter and building a 48-33 lead by halftime. The third quarter proved decisive as Frederick outscored the Riverhawks 23-8 to put the game out of reach.
Trinity Lindblade led the offensive surge with a game-high 28 points, knocking down eight three-pointers on 10-of-19 shooting. Heaven Murray added 18 points and five rebounds, while Maylee Regan controlled the paint with 12 points and 12 boards for a double-double. Taliyah Alexander filled the stat sheet with eight points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, while Chebet Nganga and Azariah Gordon combined for 12 rebounds off the bench. Frederick dominated the glass with a 51-32 rebounding advantage and shared the ball effectively, finishing with 18 assists. Everybody played and everybody scored for the Cougars.
The Cougars will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup when they return home to face Montgomery College on Saturday, December 13 at 12 PM.
