ANNANDALE, Virginia - The Frederick Community College women's basketball team defeated Northern Virginia Community College 100-32 Wednesday night in Region XX action. With the win, FCC improves to 8-2 overall, including a record of 2-0 in MD JUCO conference play.
Five players registered double figures in the win for the Cougars. Amiah Banks had a game-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field. Banks recorded seven steals and dished out four assists for her stat line. Tiana Jackson poured in 20 points in 31 minutes of action. She connected on 7-of-11 field goals and pulled down eight rebounds. Monet Wade continues her consistent play in the paint as she chipped in with 14 points. Makaala Ambush scored 11 points in 19 minutes of action. Teammate Kennedy Middleton recorded a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
FCC dominated the contest from the tip. The Cougars forced the Nighthawks into 42 turnovers and held them to just 14-of-50 (28%) from the field. The Cougars scored 56 points in the paint and converted on 28 fast break points.

FCC is back in action on December 18th when they host the Riverhawks from Anne Arundel Community College. Tipoff is slated for 5:00 P.M.
