Leo Cline Honored with DII Rawlings Gold Glove Award by the NFCA
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the NJCAA DII Rawlings Gold Glove Awards on Wednesday. For her outstanding performance in center field, Leo Cline is the recipient of the NJCAA Rawlings Gold Glove Award, marking the second consecutive year that a Frederick Community College Cougar student-athlete has received this prestigious honor.
Cline, a graduate of Linganore High School and a native of Frederick, was incredibly dependable in center field this season for her team. She did not make a single error and consistently made catches to rob batters of hits. With 65 total chances, including 58 putouts and seven assists, Cline boasts a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, having turned a double play while demonstrating excellence in the outfield. The freshman started in 33 games this season for the Cougars and played a significant role in the team's success, routinely flashing the glove in center field.
