Frederick Holds Off Delaware Tech 92-85 Victory
The Frederick Community College men's basketball team bounced back from Wednesday's defeat with a 92–85 win over Delaware Technical Community College on Thursday night at the Athletics Center, improving to 12–11 on the season. The Cougars came out firing in the first half, using a 47-point surge to build a strong lead before withstanding a late push from Delaware Tech in the second half. Kylan Johnson fueled the offense with an efficient 21 points, knocking down five shots from beyond the arc while adding eight assists. Anthony Vines delivered a major spark off the bench with a team‑high 24 points.
Gabriel Jones added 15 points and hit all six of his free throws, while Thierry Patchou anchored the interior with 11 points and seven rebounds. The Cougars dominated the glass with a 46–24 rebounding advantage, which helped them weather Delaware Tech's 56‑point second half.
Frederick now turns its attention to the road again as the Cougars travel to face the Westmoreland County Community College Wolfpack on Saturday, February 14, with tipoff scheduled for 3 p.m.
