Cougars Power Past CCBC Catonsville for Road Victory
Frederick Community College Cougars men's basketball closed out the 2025 calendar year with an impressive 83-66 win over CCBC Catonsville on December 17. The Cougars set the tone early, building a 44-39 lead at halftime before pulling away in the second half with strong defensive pressure and efficient scoring.
Kylan Johnson delivered a standout performance, scoring a game-high 26 points while going 16-for-19 from the free-throw line and adding six rebounds and four assists. Gabriel Jones provided a major spark with 22 points, including four three-pointers, while Thierry Patchou contributed 12 points and seven rebounds in the paint. Frederick shot 46.3% from the field and knocked down 10 threes, outpacing Catonsville's offense and controlling the tempo throughout the contest.
With the win, the Cougars improve to 8-5 overall and 6-4 in Region 20 DII play. They return to action and look to extend their three-game win streak with a home contest on January 7 against Pennsylvania Highlands Community College at 5 PM.
