Cougars Fight to the Finish but Penn State York Prevails

Frederick Community College battled fiercely on their home court Wednesday night but came up just short in a 75-66 loss to Penn State York. The Cougars entered the matchup looking to even their record, and despite a strong second-half push, they couldn't overcome Penn State York's balanced attack. Frederick trailed 30-25 at halftime and kept the game within reach, but Penn State York's ability to convert at the free-throw line and dominate the boards proved decisive.

Kylan Johnson was the standout for Frederick, pouring in 28 points on 11-of-23 shooting while adding seven rebounds and three assists. Thierry Patchou and Dayvon Dorsey chipped in nine and three points respectively, while Brandon Williamson provided energy off the bench with four points and four rebounds. Despite shooting 35.6% from the field and hitting five three-pointers, Frederick struggled to match Penn State York's efficiency, as the visitors shot 44.4% and went 22-for-26 from the line.

With the loss, Frederick moves to 1-2 on the season, but there's plenty of basketball left with 26 regular-season games remaining. The Cougars will look to bounce back quickly as they hit the road for a key matchup against Mercer County Community College on November 15 at 2 PM.
