ARNOLD, MD – The FCC baseball team hit the road on Saturday afternoon and earned a split with Anne Arundel CC. The Riverhawks captured game one by the score of 6-4 while the Cougars bounced back in the nightcap to earn a 7-3 victory. The Cougars sit at 10-6 overall, and the Riverhawks are 7-18.

The Cougar offense pounded out 10 hits in the win. Justin Acal and Brendan Long led the hit parade with two hits each. Acal and Long both homered and knocked in two runs. For Acal, it was his second deep fly on the season, and the shortstop is hitting a cool .392 on the year and riding an eight-game hitting streak. Klay Cottis registered a triple while teammate David Antone chipped in with a double. Antone continues to swing a hot bat at the plate, hitting .378 with 17 hits on the season.
