Cougars can’t capitalize on opportunities in 7-4 loss to Lakers
McHenry, Md. – The Frederick Community College baseball team dropped game two of the twinbill to Garrett College by the score of 7-4. With the loss the Cougars drop to 31-11 on the season including 10-8 in the conference.
FCC starting pitcher Doug Pearl was tagged with the loss and falls to 5-2 on the year. The Cougars had some opportunities with the bags packed on a couple of occasions, but could not get the clutch hits.
Alex Aristy and Nick Fuhrmann homered for the Cougars. Aristy was the only Cougar to post multiple hits in the game for FCC.
The Cougars will return to the diamond on Saturday when they host the Skipjacks from Chesapeake College. Prior to the start of Saturday's first game, the FCC baseball program will host FCC Student Veterans Appreciation Day. First pitch is slated for 12:00 P.M.
