FREDERICK, Md. – The No. 20 Frederick Community College baseball team defeated Shenandoah University JV by the score of 9-1 in the first game of a doubleheader. The Cougars got a strong pitching performance from southpaw David Tiskevics as he went the distance to improve to 2-1 on the year. Tiskevics gave up just one run on five hits.
The Cougars tallied 10 hits en route to the victory and struck big in the bottom of the 6th plating four runs. Brady Harju, Thomas Gonzalez, and Nick Fuhrmann each had three hits in the victory. The big blow of the game came off the bat of Fuhrmann in the bottom of the 6th inning as he homered to left field. Furhmann knocked in four runs while Gonzalez knocked in a pair.
With the victory, the Cougars improve to 28-10 on the year and 8-7 in MD JUCO play.
