Volleyball Takes Care Of Business On The Road

CUMBERLAND, Md. – The Frederick Community College volleyball team hit the road on Friday night to square off against Allegany College of Maryland. FCC dominated from the start and swept in straight sets (25-10, 25-11, 25-10). With the victory, FCC extends their winning streak to five and sits at 6-2 overall on the season! They will return to the court on Tuesday (10/9) as they travel to take on Knights of CCBC Essex in MD JUCO action.

FCC's Jacqueline Ryan came to play and turned in a dominating performance. The freshman phenom led with team highs in kills (10) and digs (8). Teammates Madison France and Leslie Pamer continue their consistent play for first year Head Coach Patti Westenberg. France tallied six kills and Pamer handed out 17 assists.

The Cougars are clicking on all cylinders at the right time of the season. During their five game winning streak, FCC has dominated their opponents by winning 15 straight sets.

FCC filled up the stat sheet by tallying 18 service aces on the night. Ryan and Keirra Shaffer totaled 10 of the 18 service aces. FCC ranks 12th in the entire NJCAA DII in service aces per set (2.78).
