ROCKVILLE, Maryland - The FCC women's basketball team was unable to recover from frigid shooting in the first half, falling to Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute, 77-64, Sunday afternoon as part of the Montgomery College Tipoff Classic. This is the first setback of the season for the Cougars as they sit at 5-1 on the season.
The Cougars fell behind early and were unable to recover. Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute raced out to a 23-11 lead after 10 minutes of play. Tiana Jackson led FCC with 12 points and 10 rebounds to record the double-double. Kennedy Middleton had another solid game for FCC as she chipped in with 10 points. FCC committed 28 miscues in the loss and shot 23-of-56 (41%) from the field.
FCC will return to the hardwood on 11/20 vs. Prince George's Community College in MD JUCO conference play. Tipoff is set for 5:00 PM in the Athletics Center located on the campus of Frederick Community College.
