FCC women’s basketball pulls away in 4th quarter for 66-48 win over Jamestown CC

ROCKVILLE, Maryland – The FCC women's basketball team outscored Jamestown CC in the fourth quarter 23-8 to earn a 66-48 victory on Saturday afternoon as part of the Montgomery College Tipoff Classic. With the win, the Cougars remain a perfect 5-0 on the season. Kennedy Middleton made her debut for the Cougars and didn't disappoint. She poured in 19 points on 6-of-11 from the field. She pulled down a game-high nine rebounds in the win. Teammate Amiah Banks tallied 19 points and continues her hot shooting from the floor. Tiana Jackson hit double digits with 10 points and dished out three assists.

The Cougars shot 26-of-60 (43.3%) from the floor, including just 1-of-15 from beyond the arc. The clutch free throw shooting continues as FCC hit on 13-of-16 (81.3%) from the charity stripe. FCC forced Jamestown CC into 23 miscues.

FCC returns to the court on Sunday (11/17) at 11:00 AM to battle Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute. The contest will be played at Montgomery College.
