FCC digs early hole, can't recover in loss to Harford

HAGERSTOWN, Md.- The No. 4 seed Frederick Community College women's basketball team took the court on Saturday afternoon against the No. 1 seed Harford Community College in the MD JUCO Tournament semifinals. The Fighting Owls defeated FCC by the score of 105-50. With the loss, FCC falls to 12-9 on the season.

The Cougars fell behind early and were unable to recover. In the first ten minutes of action, Harford took a 32-6 lead and never looked back. Harford forced FCC into 33 miscues and the Cougars shot just 14-of-63 (22.2%) from the field.

Jone Ayers led FCC with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Teammates Amiah Banks, Nia Powell and Skylar Robinson each chipped in with eight points.

The Cougars will return to the hardwood on Feb. 25 when they host Potomac State College of WVU. Tipoff is slated for 5:00 P.M.
