Women's basketball drops road contest to Skipjacks

Wye Mills, Md.- The Frederick Community College women's basketball team dropped their second straight contest as they fell on Monday night to Chesapeake College, 85-62. With the loss, FCC sits at 10-8 overall with a conference record of 8-3. The Skipjacks are 15-3 on the year, including a conference record of 9-1. Amiah Banks scored a team-high 23 points (7-of-19), while teammate Jone Ayers chipped in with 15 in the loss. FCC's Skylar Robinson connected on 3-of-6 from beyond the arc for nine points.   

The Cougars will return to the hardwood on Wednesday (2/6) when they host Montgomery College in a key MD JUCO conference matchup. Tipoff is set for 5:00 P.M. at the Athletics Center.
