BEL AIR, Md.- The Frederick Community College women's basketball team ran into a tough opponent on Friday night as they hit the road to battle the Harford Community College Fighting Owls. Harford defeated FCC by the score of 85-53. With the loss, the Cougars fall to 10-7 on the year (8-2 MD JUCO). The Fighting Owls improve to an impressive 23-1 overall record, including a perfect 10-0 in conference matchups.
Skylar Robinson played the entire game and scored a team-high 13 points. Teammate Amiah Banks chipped in with 11 points. Jone Ayers grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and scored seven points in the loss.
The Cougars struggled shooting the ball on the night. They connected on just 20-of-60 (33.3%) from the field, including 7-of-31 (22.6%) from beyond the arc. Harford applied pressure all night and forced FCC into 29 miscues.
FCC will return to the court on Monday (2/4) when they travel to Chesapeake College to take on the Skipjacks. Jump ball is set for 5:00 P.M.
