Women's Basketball Comes From Behind To Win Against Hawks

La Plata, Md. – The FCC women's basketball team overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat College of Southern Maryland, 74-72. With the victory, the Cougars improve to 4-2 overall, including a perfect 3-0 in conference play. The Cougars extend their win streak to three games! CSM falls to 5-3 (2-1 MD JUCO) on the season.

Credit the FCC women's basketball team as they trailed for a majority of the game to notch a key road victory! The Cougars trailed by the score of 38-30 after two quarters of play and came out of the locker room determined to pull out the victory.

Amiah Banks led FCC with 20 points. Jone Ayers continues consistent play on both ends of the floor. She poured in 15 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and dished out eight assists. Point guard Augusta Kamara tallied 13 points in the victory. Deaveon Johnsen turned in a stellar performance on defense as she recorded three steals.

FCC will return to the hardwood on 12/5 vs. Cecil College. Tip-off is set for 5:00 P.M. at the Athletics Center on the campus of Frederick Community College.
