FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick Community College women's basketball team defeated Raritan Valley Community College by the score of 82-48 on Thursday night. With the victory FCC improves to 9-5 on the season.
FCC jumped out to a 25-13 first quarter lead and never looked backed. The stingy Cougar defense held the Lions to just 26 points in the first half and took a 43-26 lead into the locker room. Aniss Grant led the way for FCC with 19 points and seven rebounds. Teammates Morgan Cobb and Dajah Gee turned in solid performances in the victory as well. Cobb chipped in with 17 points while Dajah Gee continues her stellar play as she recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
FCC will return to the court on December 28th when they take part in the Title IX DC Classic held in Washington D.C. Games will be played at DC Armory. FCC will square off against the following opponents over the three day tournament: Community College of Rhode Island, Bryant & Stratton College (VA), ASA College.
