Colorado Springs, CO – Frederick Community College sophomore women's basketball player Dajah Gee was chosen on Wednesday as the NJCAA national women's D2 college basketball player of the week (Dec. 11-17, 2017) after averaging a double-double with 24.7 points and 10.2 rebounds over a four game span. Gee led FCC to three wins this past week as the Cougars sit at 8-5 overall on the season.
Gee, a Frederick High School graduate, scored a career-high 45 points in a win over Lehigh Carbon on Tuesday (12/12/17). She connected on 16-of-22 field goals, including 11-of-14 from beyond the arc. Gee filled up the stat sheet on the historical night grabbing eight rebounds, dishing out five assists, and grabbing four steals. In the win over Lehigh Carbon, the Cougars scored 107 points! This is the highest offensive output under second year Head Coach Sheldon Henry.
On the season, Gee is averaging 19.7 points per game along with 7.7 rebounds a contest. She is shooting 45.3% from the field.
FCC will return to the hardwood on Thursday (12/21) when they host Raritan Valley Community College (9-3). Tip is set for 5:00 P.M. at the Athletics Center on the campus of Frederick Community College.
