- The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where Olney Central came out on top against Frederick Community College, 14-9.
- Olney Central got things started in the first inning when Ally O'dell singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
- Olney Central pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Erin Stanley singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Ashtyn Clark singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, and Lexi Hofflinger induced Lindsay Beasley to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Frederick Community College scored five runs in the fifth inning. Frederick Community College put the pressure on, lead by walks by Hofflinger and Lindsey Thomas and a single by Keri Stevens.
Olney Central scored eight runs in the fourth inning. Olney Central 's big inning was driven by by O'dell, a single by Maddie Fuller, a groundout by Amanda Bonesteel, an error on a ball put in play by Clark, and a double by Stanley.
Kenzie Tooley earned the win for Olney Central . He lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out four and walking zero.
Hofflinger took the loss for Frederick Community College. She allowed 11 hits and 11 runs over three and a third innings, striking out four and walking one.
Frederick Community College racked up eight hits in the game. Stevens and Xanthippie Limber each had multiple hits for Frederick Community College. Stevens led Frederick Community College with three hits in three at bats.
Olney Central racked up 17 hits. Stanley, Brooke Miles, Fuller, O'dell, Clark, and Abbi Lee each collected multiple hits for Olney Central.
