Errors hurt FCC softball team in loss to Prairie State College, 8-2

In their final game of their annual trip to Myrtle Beach, the FCC softball team lost to Prairie State College by the score of 8-2. The Cougars are 2-5 on the year and will open up conference play on Wednesday (3/14) when they travel to Cecil College. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 3:00 P.M.

The Cougars were limited to just three hits in the loss and committed four errors in the field. FCC starting pitcher Whitney Dickerson was tagged with the loss and falls to 0-3 on the season. Dickerson pitched three innings and gave up three earned runs. McKenzie Haynes did a nice job out of the bullpen. She relieved Dickerson and pitched four innings. Haynes would surrender just two hits and no earned runs.
