FREDERICK, Md. – Coming off a convincing 8-0 win on Friday afternoon over the Skipjacks from Chesapeake College, the FCC men's soccer team returned to the pitch on Monday afternoon as they played host to the Nighthawks from Northern Virginia Community College.  FCC would find the back of the net five times to score a 5-1 victory over the Nighthawks. With the victory, FCC improves to 6-1 (4-1 MD JUCO) on the season. NOVA drops to 4-3-1 on the year.

Carlos Guevera turned in a stellar performance for the Cougars. Guevera scored three goals to lead the offensive charge. Teammates Peter Allen and Justin John-Langba each scored a goal in the victory. Credit FCC goalie Ismael Hernandez for a solid performance between the pipes. FCC would score four goals in the final 20 minutes to secure the victory.

"I was really impressed the way we came out and played in the second half," said FCC Head Coach, John LaRocca. "We came out and played hard, and their fatigue started to show.  Carlos Guevera came up big for us on the offensive end."
