Dale Kowatch Hired As Head Coach for FCC Men’s Lacrosse

FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick Community College Director of Athletics Rodney Bennett has announced the hiring of Dale Kowatch as head coach for the men's lacrosse team. For the past two seasons, Kowatch has served as the team's assistant coach.

"We are thrilled with the hiring of Dale Kowatch," Bennett said. "What really stood out about Coach Kowatch during the interview process was his strong passion for FCC and the student-athletes. He has done a great job helping lead the men's lacrosse team the last two years and we know he'll make a great head coach."

Kowatch had a stellar playing career on the field. He attended York College and was a member of the Spartans' nationally-ranked lacrosse team. He earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Behavioral Sciences and hold a minor in Gerontology.

The Cougars wrapped up the 2017 campaign on a high note. In just its second season, FCC finished with an overall record of 9-6 and were ranked No. 8th in the country.

Kowatch resides in Frederick, Maryland and works at Rock Creek School as a Special Education Instructional Assistant.
