FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick Community College Director of Athletics Chad Smith announced Wednesday that Frederick native Emonte Hill has accepted the Boys Varsity Head Basketball Coach position at Frederick High School.

Hill's tenure comes to a close after six seasons at FCC. In 2015-16, Hill recorded his best season at FCC as he led the Cougars to a Region XX championship and earned the school's first ever National Tournament appearance.  In the 2014-15 season Coach Hill was named MD JUCO Coach of the Year after his team won the MD JUCO conference championship.

Hill attended Frederick High School and starred for the Cadets in the backcourt before graduating in 1997. He was also named a National Junior College Athletic Association All-American. Hill then transferred to the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg, where he was a two-year starter.
