FREDERICK, Md. – Tonight it was the Burnett and Barnett show! The duo combined for eight-of-12 3-pointers to lead FCC to victory. Juwan Burnett scored a game-high 24 points (10-of-12 FGs) and pulled down five rebounds to lead the #16 Frederick Community College men's basketball team to a crucial conference victory over the visiting Raptors from Montgomery College by the score of 88-61. With the win, FCC sits at 16-8 overall and sports a 7-7 record in conference play. The Cougars extend their win streak to three games.
Burnett came off the bench and was on fire once he hit the floor. Corey Barnett continues his stellar play netting 20 points (7-of-12) in the win. He has tallied 45 points in the last two wins for FCC. David Garey chipped in with 10 points and handed out nine assists. Chris Knight was a force in the middle scoring 11 points and registering six rebounds. FCC cleaned up on the glass all night as Henry Okoye finished the game with nine rebounds.
The Cougars hit on 35-of-68 (51.5%) from the field, including 11-of-17 (64.7) from beyond the arc!
FCC will return to the hardwood on Monday (2/11) when they play host to #2 Potomac State College of WVU. Tipoff is set for 7:00 P.M. at the Athletics Center on the campus of Frederick Community College.
