BEL AIR, Md.- FCC's Henry Okoye came up big as the Cougars picked up a solid road win at Harford Community College on Friday night by the score of 85-75. FCC registered five players in double figures in the balanced scoring attack. With the victory FCC improves to 14-8 overall, including 5-7 in conference play. Harford sits at 13-9 overall on the year, including 8-3 in conference play.
Okoye poured in 17 points on the night and pulled down 11 boards. David Garey and Dwayne Garner scored a team-high 18 points to pace the Cougars. The duo combined for 11-of-18 from the floor. In his second consecutive start, AJ Gregory chipped in with 13 points on a sizzling six-of-eight from the field. Corey Barnett scored 10 points off the bench in 20 minutes of action.
The Cougars shot the ball well from the field connecting on 27-of-55 (49.1%). From the charity stripe, FCC cashed in on 28-of-36 (77.8%). FCC dominated in the paint, outscoring Harford 38-12 in the contest.
FCC will return to the court on Monday (2/4) when they travel to Chesapeake College to take on the Skipjacks. Jump ball is set for 7:00 P.M.
