Men's Basketball Drops First Game Of New Year, 71-66, To BCCC
FREDERICK, Md.- After a two week layoff, the FCC men's basketball team returned to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon, playing host to the Panthers of Baltimore City Community College. The two teams squared off earlier this season with the Cougars squeaking out the 75-72 win as part of the Ben Williams Classic on December 8th. The Panthers would upend the Cougars in today's contest by the score of 71-66. With the loss, FCC drops to 13-3 (4-2 MD JUCO) overall on the season and the Panthers improve to 12-4 overall. BCCC remains a perfect 5-0 in conference play.
FCC point guard David Garey continues his consistent play running the Cougar offense. He went for 17 points in the loss. Ben Meredith poured in 16 points for the Cougars. Triston Price made his FCC debut and scored 11 points and recorded four steals. Henry Okoye did damage in the middle by scoring five points, pulling down eight rebounds, and recorded four swats in the game.
