FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick Community College men's basketball team hosted Howard Community College on Wednesday night in a key Region XX DII matchup. FCC upended the Dragons by the score of 113-88 to extend their winning streak to three games. The Cougars improve to 5-1 (1-0 MD JUCO) on the season and Howard CC drops to 1-3 (0-1 MD JUCO).

The Cougars were on fire from the field, connecting on 39-of-63 (61.9) shots and 28-of 34 (82.4%) attempts from the charity stripe! FCC registered five players in double figures in the victory. Ben Meredith had himself quite a night for Head Coach Emonte Hill. Meredith poured in a game-high 25 points on 10-of-13 from the floor. He did all of his damage in just 25 minutes of action. Point guard David Garey continues to lead the offense as the Cougars were clicking on all cylinders tonight. Garey scored 19 points and dished out five assists. Corey Barnett added to his early season highlight reel with some electric moves to the basket and a thunder slam to cap off 6-of-7 shooting for 15 points. Juwan Burnett and CJ Williams continue to provide quality minutes off the bench. Burnett posted 16 points and Williams chipped in with 14. Both Williams and Burnett hauled down six rebounds.

The Cougars will return to the hardwood on November 20th, when they host Allegany College of Maryland. Tip-off is set for 7:00 P.M.
