Balanced Scoring Attack Propels Cougars To Victory

FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Community College men's basketball team hit the floor on Friday night for the 2018-19 season as part of the Tip-Off Mixer. The Cougars laced them up to take on Delaware Tech Community College. FCC defeated Del Tech by the score of 95-55. The Cougars earn their fist win of the season and sit at 1-0.

Dwayne Garner led FCC with 24 points and 12 rebounds. He was a force inside the paint as well as from beyond the arc. Corey Barnett had himself quite a debut. He threw down a couple of highlight reel dunks that brought the crowd to their feet. David Garey and Juwan Burnett each chipped in with 13 points. Garey was in a giving mood and dished out eight assists. Henry Okoye played big inside and scored 10 points.

The Cougars dominated on both ends of the ball. FCC shot 38-of-67 (56.7%) from the field and was in total control from the tip.

FCC will return to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon when they play host to Manor College. Tip-off is set for 3:00 P.M.
