McHenry, Md. – The No. 10 Frederick Community College men's basketball team closed out conference play on Sunday afternoon as they hit road to take on the Lakers from Garrett College. FCC took a 29-19 advantage into the locker room after 20 minutes of play and never looked back. The Cougars would cruise to a 65-52 victory and finish conference action with a stellar record of 12-2. With the victory, FCC improves to 21-3 overall and remains perfect in Region XX D2 action sporting a record of 6-0. The Lakers fall to 13-10 (5-9 MD JUCO) on the season.
"This was a great team victory," said FCC Head Coach Emonte Hill. "With two starters out, we trusted the 'next man up' approach and the guys got it done. We had great energy from the floor to the bench today. I'm so proud of the troops for a great road victory to finish off MD JUCO play."
FCC's Ben Meredith continues to get stronger on the offensive end for Head Coach Emonte Hill. Meredith pumped in 20 points in the victory.
