FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Community College men's basketball team laced up the sneakers on Saturday afternoon and played host to Mercer County Community College. The Cougars would set the tone early and earned the victory over Mercer CC by the score of 63-45. With the victory, FCC improves to 5-1 on the year including 1-0 in conference play.

Marlon White Jr. continues to provide a spark off the bench for Head Coach Emonte Hill. White Jr. led the Cougars with 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field, including 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. Morris Robinson turned in another solid performance running the Cougar offense and had quite the stat line. Robinson went for 11 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Shooting guard Dashon Bell poured in nine points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
The Cougars scorched the nets from the field as a team. FCC connected on 22-of-39 (56%) field goals from the field. FCC continues to play tough defense giving up just 45 points today. On the season, opponents are averaging just 64 points a game against the stingy FCC defense.

The Cougars will return to the hardwood on Tuesday when they host the Fighting Owls from Harford Community College. Tip-time is set for 7:00 P.M.
