NORTH EAST, Md. - Not a bad day at the office for the FCC baseball team on Tuesday afternoon. The Cougars made it a clean sweep over Cecil College by taking game two, 13-3 in five innings. With the victory, FCC is 30-13 on the year and extend their winning streak to nine games. More importantly, FCC is a perfect 14-0 in Region XX D2 play.

The Cougar offense was as hot as the temperature outside on a gorgeous Tuesday afternoon. FCC scored in every inning capturing the victory. The hit that sealed the victory for the Cougars came off the bat of Logan Appel. With the bags packed in the top of the fifth, Appel crushed a grand slam to put the game out of reach. He went 3-for-4 in the victory and knocked in five runs. Mitch Long and Dillon Cooperrider each had a double for FCC. Jared Pine swiped a pair of bases to give him 16 on the year.

Lefty Brad Foster came in relief to pick up the win on the mound. He pitched three innings, giving up just one run on two hits. He fanned three batters. Foster improves to 3-2 on the year.

The busy week continues for the Cougars as they travel to Garrett College on Thursday to take on the Lakers for a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 2:00 P.M.
